About Me

There's something hard to describe about being in a high alpine wilderness miles from the road, or being at the coast as a storm clears. Everything else seems to disappear. I don't notice other people. I'm unaware of time, of the list of things I need to do. I forget about physical discomforts. These are some of the best, most rejuvinating and most memorable moments that I have. Maybe it would sound more impressive to write about being an artist. Maybe I'll do that if I ever know what it means. And it would sound noble to write about how I'd like to use my images to protect wilderness. There is truth to that. But, the real reason I photograph is because I like it, and because I want to be in the mountains, or anywhere as a storm clears and capture those experiences with my camera.
